Do you think Aura reading would be a fun ability or do you think it would be overwhelming in a world of magic?

This is a really cool page - seeing the world through "Inessa Vision" gives me a new perspective on her character. The tree looks like fireworks to her! And the magic effect from her eye in p3 is a nice touch.

I think aura vision could get overwhelming, but it depends whether or not it's always on. In some SF stories there are characters with ESP that's always on, and life is understandably hellish to them (e.g., Mao from Code Geass). Always-on aura vision in a magic-saturated world might be the same way, but if it can be turned off then it would be both bearable and extremely useful.

There are some of our characters that in fact cannot turn off the gosh dang magic and it makes them a little bit crazy! Inessa luckily can only vaguely sense magics all the time, unless she focuses on them. Then things get bright and colorful much like this, and when she uses the trove to heighten her magic even further in the hunters chapter. :3

I think it would depend on whether you've had it your whole life and it's natural for you or not. Unless it's more of an abnormal condition than other forms of magic, I'd imagine that for the most part it would simply be part of how aura-readers perceive the world, like seeing color in a world full of colorblind people.

Auras might get louder now and then, and some people may not like loud, but that's different from unintentional, unavoidable sensory overload.

In crezure all people are born under an 'element' but people have varying degrees of ability. Magic doesn't begin to 'manifest' until you start to mature (aka like puberty) which means you have all these little 8-13 yo kids wrecking havoc XD

But I like the way you think ;) I feel like you hit the nail on the head!
